Holiday Art Cards - Jennifer Myhre

These holiday paintings by artist Jen Myhre are original works, created using multiple types of pastels and coloured pencils on a specialty fibrous paperboard called pastelmat. 

Jen photographs all her own artworks and digitally edits as needed, to curate the colours as close to the original as possible to recreate as prints. She also prints all her own works (minus postcards) using her lab quality professional art/photo printer on archival, acid-free photo paper. 

Jen is a self-taught artists, who just recently discovered her natural talent to create using multiple mediums during Covid lockdowns. She has since left her career as a weld inspector in oil and gas to pursue her new found passion in art!

• "Christmas Bear" is based on a statue created by Brower Hatcher and installed in 2010. It is located on a platform in Stuart Park overlooking the waterfront shores of Okanagan Lake and downtown Kelowna. 
• "Christmas Dolphins" are based on an iconic fiberglass statue located in downtown Kelowna in front of Waterfront Park. The Dolphins were created by artist Robert Dow Reid  and installed in 1993. 
• "Christmas Spirt of Sail"  is based on "The Sails," an iconic fiberglass statue located in downtown Kelowna at the foot of Bernard Ave next to Okanagan Lake. It was created by artist Robert Dow Reid and installed in 1993. 
• "Christmas Ogopogo" is an original work 
• "Ogopogo & Frosty" is an original work
